The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust is an independent Scottish Charity set up in 1996 by Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother for the purposes of educating the generaql public concerning historic buildings and the British native breeds of Aberdeen Angus cattle and North Country Cheviot sheep. Its main activity is in operating the Castle of Mey as one of the north of Scotland's premier visitor attractions.
